Handing Back Control (Paperback)

$15.00

Many of us joke about being control freaks, while the rest hide our need to be in control deep inside. Let’s face it - the simple idea of being out of control generally leaves us feeling unsafe and anxious at the very least. We live out of a belief that if we don’t keep the reins of control tight, our world will explode. I know this has caused issues for me in many aspects of my life. Whether it be in my own emotions, in life circumstances, or in the actions of others, there have been numerous occasions when I have found my control has been a mere illusion. In His goodness, though, God has put His finger on this desire to control my world and my circumstances and shown me another way of living. The journey through this process has been quite painful at times. I liken it to when you have been clenching your hands to the wheel, desperately holding on for far too long. You need to prise your fingers loose but they are numb and aching at the same time. However, I have learnt that the agony of letting go is rarely as bad as the pain of holding on, and the healing and freedom I have found on the other side is well worth the pain. Some of my story may resonate with you. Some aspects may challenge you. My hope is that it further inspires your confidence in a good God who loves to give us healing, true freedom and increasingly abundant life!
